Join us on Thursday, 30 October 2025 at Prosopa Restaurant in Pretoria for the Fryer’s Cove Wine Tasting & Dinner. Winemaker and general manager Liza Goodwin will present a curated flight from Fryer’s Cove and share the estate’s coastal story.
Chef patron Dino Fagas and in-house sommelier Moses Magwaza have collaborated with Liza to design a four-course menu, with thoughtful pairings that showcase both the wines and Prosopa’s Mediterranean-inspired cooking. Liza will introduce each pour and explain how the wines are chosen to complement the food.
Fryer’s Cove sits in the small Bamboes Bay ward, with vines planted just 500 metres from the Atlantic breakers. Sea spray, rocky soils and cool breezes give the wines saline minerality, bright acidity and a clear fruit profile. Liza’s focus on Sauvignon Blanc brings citrus lift and herbal complexity, producing wines with coastal tension that pair beautifully with lemon, fresh herbs and shellfish. In spring, when produce is at its most vibrant, Fryer’s Cove wines and Prosopa’s Greek flavours create an effortless partnership that lifts freshness and texture across every course.
This special evening features five wines matched to four elegant courses, each pairing chosen to reveal contrasts and harmony on the palate.
