Summer Wine Nights

On Thursday, 26 February 2026, join us at Prosopa Restaurant for our first Wine Evening & Gourmet Dinner of the year, presented by Bruno Beurel and showcasing wines from Idun and Atlas Swift wine estates.

Chef Patron Dino Fagas and in-house sommelier Moses Magwaza have curated a refined four-course menu paired with seven considered wines pairings , bringing together Greek-inspired cuisine and distinctive South African terroir in an Prosopa’s intimate, elegant setting.

Raised between Alsace and Burgundy in France, Bruno developed an early respect for regions where wine and gastronomy are a way of life. After making South Africa home and completing his WSET Level 3, he built his career in hospitality and fine wine representation before founding his own agency. His presentations are knowledgeable yet relaxed, offering insight into origin, climate and craftsmanship while keeping the experience engaging and accessible.

The evening explores how identical grape varieties respond to different climates. A vibrant Idun Cabriolé Sauvignon Blanc opens as the welcome drink. Two Chardonnays follow, one from warm Wellington and one from the cooler Cape South Coast, offering a compelling comparison in fruit expression, structure and acidity. Lighter reds then build the journey, from City on a Hill Swartland Cinsault to the layered Idun Carmelite. The finale brings depth and intensity with Idun Nuit Eternelle Syrah and Atlas Swift Shelter Cabernet Sauvignon, each selected to elevate its paired course and highlight balance and character.
