On Thursday 16 July 2026, Prosopa Restaurant in Waterkloof Heights invites you to an exclusive Martell Cognac Tasting presented by Martell’s Prestige Brand Ambassador, Taneale Van der Merwe. A vibrant young spirit who believes that anything can be put into a cocktail as long as you have the creativity and tenacity to seek out adventure, this intimate evening promises an unique experience!

Founded in 1715, Martell is one of Cognac’s oldest houses, demonstrating a century-spanning pursuit of excellence. Pernod Ricard’s Prestige Ambassador, Taneale Van der Merwe will illuminate the spirit’s rich history and craftsmanship. Guests will begin with a signature welcome cognac cocktail and then explore a guided tasting of three distinctive Martell expressions.

Indulge in the Martell lineup: the vibrant Martell VS with its lush fruit notes, the audacious Martell Blue Swift (a VSOP finished in bourbon casks with creamy vanilla and spice), and the elegant Martell XO from Grande Champagne for power and finesse.

The cognac tasting experience is followed by an amazing 3-course dinner prepared by our chefs!

With seating limited to just 30 guests, this exclusive event offers a cosy winter retreat at Prosopa.

For R580 per person (non-refundable R400 deposit), enjoy three courses paired and an exclusive cognac tasting.
