Distinguished Pairings

Prosopa Restaurant is hosting an unforgettable Vergelegen wine evening on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, and you’re invited to experience the best of Greek fine dining paired with some of South Africa’s most distinguished wines.

Presented by Christo Deyzel, sommelier at Vergelegen Wine Estate, the evening will feature a four-course menu created by Chef Patron Dino, with wine pairings selected by our own master sommelier, Moses Magwaza.

Welcome Drink: Vergelegen Cap Classique Brut

Start the evening with a glass of this elegant, bottle-fermented sparkling wine. Aged for 36 months on the lees, it offers citrus freshness, a fine mousse, and soft hints of brioche and orange blossom.

Wild Winds Sauvignon Blanc

This crisp white offers tropical notes of guava and honeydew melon, with a flinty character and vibrant acidity that lingers on the palate.

Florence Rosé

Light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, this rosé shows off strawberry and raspberry aromas with a gentle acidity and a lovely rose-gold hue.

Reserve Merlot

Crafted from vineyards rooted in ancient soils, this Merlot delivers bold aromas of ripe plum, dark chocolate, and nutmeg, all wrapped in a soft, velvety finish.

Estate Red

A signature blend showcasing the estate’s warmer vineyard sites. Expect rich notes of cassis, pencil shavings, and spice, all balanced by ripe tannins and a layered depth.

The evening is priced at R880 per person, including 5 wines and four-course menu. Seats are limited, so be sure to book early and treat yourself to a night of exceptional wine, food, and hospitality at Prosopa.
